This Primer is an aid to all those interested in understanding the key aspects of the Passive House Standard. It is the fastest growing energy performance standard in the world with thousands of buildings having been constructed to comply with the Passive House standard, with the first in New Zealand being completed in 2012. This course will outline the essentials of the standard, and will be of particular relevance to those intending to attend the South Pacific Passive House Conference 21. The course will also touch on those issues most relevant to the New Zealand climate, industry and market, and explain how the standard has been successfully applied in this country.
